GRACE ASSEMBLY CHURCH

Pastor and Mrs. David Hintz, Sr.

Leavenworth, Kansas

In July of 1998, Pastor and Mrs. David Hintz were asked to have some  Bible studies.  They opened their home and  began with five people.  God showed His approval  by  beginning to add to the meeting, and pouring out of His Spirit.  The attendance began to grow until they were forced to move out of their home in to a store-front  building that they rented.  The attendance continued to grow.  And while in the store-front eight to ten people accepted the Lord as their Savior; and many received physical healing and the attendance grew to around thirty people.  God brought in several from the Nazarene background, Baptist, and others who were hungry for the Word of God.

They  began praying that God would open up a place where they could either  build a new church, or buy a building and fix it up.  A  couple who attended the meeting at that time,  but later retired from work and moved to Hawaii, deeded 2 ˝ acres of land to the Grace Assembly Church.  As the saints  began to pray and ask God for guidance, plans were made to begin building on that acreage.  The Full Gospel Grace Fellowship was a great blessing in their giving financially to help with the completion of the church building, along with their prayers and encouragement.  Pastor David Hintz and two men of the meeting  began the process of building the church.

A church in the Kansas City area gave thirty oak padded pews.  Others outside the meeting began donating items to the  church.  We had our first Sunday meeting on Sunday, the 23rd  of August 2009.  We were blessed when the City of Leavenworth finally gave us the ‘certificate of occupancy.’  The first Sunday the congregation held their meeting in the new church,  the Lord began pouring out of His Spirit; and after the ministering of the Word of God, a young man came forward and accepted the Lord as Savior.  What a precious way God gave to open this new Grace meeting.  On October 17, 2009, the church had a dedication service.  Around ninety attended the meeting.  Saints came from Oklahoma, Denver, Nebraska, Kansas and Missouri.  A number of the pastors and their wives were with us for this dedication service; including David Hintz, Jr. and his wife Grace Ann.

On Sunday morning the 18th of October, 2009, Pastor and Mrs. Hintz were  blessed having their son David to speak for them in the 10:00 A.M. service; and in the 11:00 A.M. service  Brother Dean Stafford spoke.  Since the opening of the doors at this new location, around ten new people have started attending the services.  We praise God for His blessing on the church and for all those who were a part of the accomplished work.  Our vision is to see the meeting continue to grow, souls saved and prepared to be in the Bride of Christ, and made ready for His soon returning.
