MISSIONARY LETTER

Santa Fe, Argentina

Dear Ones – Greetings in the precious name of Jesus!

As we skid to the finish line of year 2011 we continue to work nonstop.  I have to go into town to one of the government offices to pick up Gladis, an old friend who is an attorney for the IRS.  The girls are anxious to see their ‘Tia’ Gladis.

Gabriel and family left the house early due to having a birthday party of a niece.  Melina and Guille are busy packing as they sold their house and rented one until they can build a larger one.

Last Wednesday we had our women’s meeting in Laguna Paiva, with a good number attending.  Had a great time.  I had gone in my pick-up as was also invited to preach in the night meeting.  Got home late – Julio had gone to preach in Esperanza and he got in even later.  The Lord moved there and several that couldn’t walk the Lord restored the use of their legs!!  A real boost of faith of many as the night before a tornado had hit Esperanza and Recreo, blowing away roof tops – a path of destruction – but PTL all lives were saved.

This year Habitat for Humanity contacted us, wanting to offer their help to school and church families that haven’t been able to finish building their homes.  They gave out loans to many families and this month; a group of field workers from Canada came to help finish the building of several homes.  They worked with such joy, interacting with the school kids, giving dozens of English lessons, singing with the kids – having a great time!

Last week was the last day of school for the adult night high school.  The high light of the year was not only how they excelled in their studies but their response to the gospel; many were saved and are attending church.  The first week of December is the graduation of regular high school and the seventh is the last day of school, except for the ones that have two weeks of summer school due to low grades.

We suffered the burglary of the ‘diner’ in Los Trancos where we feed over 120 children each weekend.  We filed a police report but they didn’t do a thing even though many offered information  that the thieves were selling the stolen goods in the same neighborhood.  Pray that we can buy everything again and that the men make the iron bars and windows thicker and safer.  Only the Lord can give us the will to continue on as it seems at times there are so many things the enemy throws our way to cause discouragement.

We are praying that the Lord will continue to work out several problems that have arisen.  In the prison there has been misunderstanding and fight; due to this I will try to talk to the director.  Also, after many months of uncertainty, finally, it seems like the demand and suing the family has done to the church, because of an accident their son had in a camp several years ago where he broke a leg.  We paid for the surgery, hospital expenses, etc.  And now the family has started a demand for ‘moral damages’.  Our lawyer called last week saying that they had finally settled for $5,000, plus lawyer’s fees.  Don’t know how much our lawyer will charge us but he usually won’t accept pay until we are through with everything else.  He said he is ‘working it out’ through court so that they will be prevented to ever make another claim.  This will be a great weight off all our shoulders, especially Julio’s.

We know there are many battles, but God has promised victory and strength, protection in the middle of each storm.  We thank you for your continual support and your prayers.

We love you and God bless you – yours, Julio and Rachael.

LETTER FROM NIGERIA

Greetings to you from the Church of Jesus Christ.  I warmly express my appreciation to you for the selfless work you do in the name of Jesus. . .unto the saving of lost souls and also building up the body of Christ.  May our Lord richly bless you.

I am a reader of your literature.  I also have a series of your booklet titled ‘Fellowship’, and I am richly blessed by them.

If you have some literature, Bibles, etc., available it could help our outreach easier.  We are hosting a crusade by God’s grace, aiming to draw lost souls to Jesus Christ.

God bless you and uphold your ministry in Jesus name, amen!

Yours, faithfully,

Pastor Chibuike Onwuglsufor
